The role
As Sales Consultant Security & Assessments, you are responsible for business development around our security services in the Benelux and DACH regions. You work closely with security specialists and commercial management.
This is not a role for someone who follows scripts. You operate in complex, high-value environments: software companies with business-critical software, including software-only businesses and SaaS organizations. Substance and relationships go hand in hand.
You keep a close eye on market developments and client needs, and use that insight to keep our proposition sharp. Travel to the DACH region is part of the role on an occasional basis, tied to events and new opportunities.
What will you do
- Drive new business development for security assessments across the Benelux and DACH region
- Identify and qualify opportunities within software-driven organizations, including software-only businesses and SaaS companies
- Build, maintain and expand relationships with CIOs, CTOs, CISOs, CFOs, CEOs and founders, including existing YieldDD clients
- Position security services in the context of risk, compliance and transaction value
- Manage long and complex sales cycles with ownership, patience and consistent follow-through
- Translate technical services into clear and compelling commercial propositions.
- Align closely with security specialists to ensure a strong delivery fit
- Collaborate with the commercial, marketing and operations teams to ensure a consistent and well-coordinated approach from first contact to delivery.
What you bring
Must-haves
- 3 to 6 years of experience in B2B sales or business development within cyber security, IT services or software
- A consultative and value-based selling approach: you identify what matters most to a client, connect it to concrete outcomes, and guide them to a decision through trust and expertise rather than pressure
- Experience with long and complex sales cycles in high-value, relationship-driven environments
- Understanding of the role of security in business risk and value creation
- Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders such as CIOs, CISOs and deal partners
- Ability to translate technical content into clear and relevant business value
- Self-driven, with ownership of your pipeline and a structured approach
- Fluency in English and Dutch
Nice-to-haves
- Proficiency in German or experience working in DACH markets
- Experience with M&A, private equity or due diligence
- An existing network within PE, corporate finance, cyber security or technology
