We wish to contribute actively to today’s major trends and risks.
People are increasingly critical towards technological developments. Often, the social consequences of these developments cannot be adequately foreseen. In this uncertain situation, our contribution is knowing whether something is thoroughly constructed. And whether software and systems can be used for their intended purposes.
One of the most significant issues with respect to information is privacy. With new legislation on this matter, the European Union is taking the global lead and, within Europe, the Netherlands is once again at the forefront. We play a role by translating these developments into measurement tools for the quality of the systems and software used by organisations.
Digital security is becoming a growing concern. We are convinced that insufficient investments are made in national, local, organisational and personal security. Awareness is too low, while cybercrime is rapidly growing. We actively contribute to organisations’ resilience to this trend by providing insight into the level of quality and security of the software they rely upon.
